Circumstance led me to be present this afternoon at a local "meet-and-greet" event in Alexandria, organized by the campaign of Terry McAuliffe for the office of Governor of Virginia. About 35 folks were present in all. It was very interesting. I got to interact with Mr. McAuliffe's campaign manager, a couple of his very young and very earnest campaign workers, his very charming wife, and with the candidate himself.
He has his stump speech down very well -- and it is cogent and persuasive. I came away impressed and eager to learn more about him. He may be very good for the Commmonwealth of Virginia.
